HARRISBURG – After hearing from local business owners, construction workers and others, members of the House of Representatives from York, Adams and Cumberland counties joined together to urge Gov. Tom Wolf to allow construction projects to be completed and to allow workers to return to job sites. Previously, Wolf included construction on the list of “non-essential” businesses, which put a halt to construction projects in Pennsylvania. In response, the members, who are House Appropriations Chair Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion) and Reps. Torren Ecker (R-Abbottstown), Dawn Keefer (R-Dillsburg), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), Dan Moul (R-Gettysburg), Seth Grove (R-Dover), Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) Barb Gleim (R-Carlisle), Greg Rothman (R-Camp Hill) and Mike Jones (R-York Township) issued the following statement:
HARRISBURG – Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) today announced that her April 2 Coffee and Conversation town hall scheduled for 6:30 at the Dickinson Township Building, 219 Mountain View Rd., has been cancelled.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Carlisle) announced today the Cumberland Valley Rails-to-Trails Council Inc. has been awarded a $193,700 grant for the development of the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail in West Pennsboro Township.

CARLISLE –Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) today announced the speaker for her free Veterans Breakfast for those living in the 199th District. The event will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center, 950 Soldiers Drive, Carlisle.
CARLISLE – To learn more about a variety of businesses throughout southcentral Pennsylvania and the challenges they face in creating good jobs for Pennsylvanians, the House Majority Policy Committee toured several locations in the region this week, according to Policy Chairman Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest).
WHAT: The House Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest), will travel to Carlisle to host a roundtable discussion with local businesses, education institutions and organizations. Topics to be discussed will include workforce development, state taxation, regulatory reform and transportation logistics. This is part of the House Republican Caucus’ #GoodJobs4PA legislative package.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) today announced that the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) has awarded a $1 million grant to the Cumberland County Industrial Development Authority (CCIDA) to assist with significant renovations to the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s building at 5 North Orange St. in Carlisle Borough.

WHAT: A bridge in Carlisle Borough will be named for Lance Cpl. Edward Rykoskey who went missing in action in the Vietnam War. In 1966, Rykoskey was warning his comrades of an approaching enemy force that greatly outnumbered his patrol, when he succumbed to enemy fire, and paid the ultimate price of freedom. There will be a military rifle salute and Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) will be master of ceremonies.
