Gleim Secures $848,250 for Newville Water and Sewer Authority
10/22/2024
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) has announced $848,250 in funding for the Newville Water and Sewer Authority under the state’s Local Share Account (LSA) program.

“I advocated strongly for this funding, which was also supported by Senator Rothman, in order to ensure safe and efficient service by the authority to its customers,” said Gleim. “Our local communities continue to grow, and our infrastructure is often not able to keep pace due to financial challenges. Grant programs, like the LSA, provide the funding needed for critical community projects to be completed.”

The grant money will be used for the construction of a water tank and booster upgrades located in West Pennsboro Township. LSA funds will be used for construction, engineering and administrative costs.

Funding for the LSA program comes from the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, not taxpayer dollars.
