CARLISLE – PA State Rep. Barbara Gleim (R-Middlesex Township) has been named “State Legislator of the Month” by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
Gleim recently attended an education academy sponsored by the organization, where she shared current efforts to affect legislation and policy regarding education in Pennsylvania.
“I’m pleased that the team at ALEC would recognize these efforts in this way,” Gleim said. “I am honored and happy that my work and collaboration with education experts in many areas of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with House Education Committee staff, has been acknowledged by ALEC. But there is certainly much work left to do.”
The American Legislative Exchange Council is America’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary membership organization of state legislators dedicated to the principles of limited government, free markets, and federalism. Comprised of nearly one-quarter of the country’s state legislators and stakeholders from across the policy spectrum, ALEC members represent more than 60 million Americans.
Gleim represents Pennsylvania’s 199th Legislative District and has been involved in education policy on both the state and national levels for over 15 years.
