WHAT: A group of state policymakers will come together to provide a tool to help protect children from sexually explicit material and highlight some of the books known to be in school libraries. The public is welcome to attend.

Simply asking the question “What is in my child’s school library?” will bring instant ridicule and you may be called a “Book Burner” or a “Book Banning Enemy of Free Speech.” This type of name-calling is meant to bully and intimidate parents into remaining silent.

WHO: Reps. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster) and Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) will be joined by members of the General Assembly, including Sen. Cris Dush (R-25).

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The lobby of Ryan Office Building, Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

LIVE WEBSTREAMING: Barring any technical difficulties, the press event will be livestreamed at RepTomJones.com. and RepGleim.com.
